The reward of the European Union with 2012 Nobel Peace prize is high appreciation of successes of the organization for revival ofEuropeand integration processes within 60 years’ period after the World War II according to the Nobel Committee. The Azerbaijani Delegation to the Euronest PA estimates the appreciation of the European Union’s role in the continent and world by Nobel Committee and thus, congratulates EU’s management and all EU officials, as well as MEPs, the European Commission and local governments of EU Member States

The Azerbaijani Delegation to the Euronest PA estimates the appreciation of the European Union’s role in the continent and world by Nobel Committee and thus, congratulates EU’s management and all EU officials, as well as MEPs, the European Commission and local governments of EU Member States.
The European Union has played a major role in the establishment and strengthening of peace in the continent and the settlement of regional conflicts, thus, it has carried out multiple peace-keeping operations, has demonstrated itself as a significant center of power in ensuring security in Europe and worldwide. Therefore, the activities of Nobel Committee in preventing new wars in the continent and stabilizing the situation were the basis for rewarding the European Union. Thus, focusing on this opinion, the Nobel Committee brings to the attention EU’s achievements in this field and stresses the importance of extending its further activities in this sphere.
The Azerbaijani Delegation to the Euronest PA welcomes the 2 resolutions of 2010 and 2012 adopted by the European Parliament regarding the restoration of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and hopes that the European Union will intensify its participation in peaceful resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict in a short period of time and will show determination in the liberation of Azerbaijani territories under occupation and the implementation of the resolutions by the European Parliament and international organizations against the aggressor state in the overall settlement process of the conflict on the framework of internationally legal norms.
All of us, together with the European Union can take pride and be proud of this highest award of the peace in the world only if the frozen conflicts in Europe, as well as one of them Nagorno-Karabakh problem will be solved as soon as possible, the internally displaced persons will get their rights to live safely by returning their homes, and thus, rights of about (one) 1 million Azerbaijani citizens violated in the result of Armenian occupation will be restored!
