A meeting was held in Chukhuryurd village with the electorates of nearby villages
Candidate Suleymanov Elkhan Sirac standing for Milli Mejlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan from Shamakhi Constituency number 85 met with his electorates by participation of inhabitants of the villages of Chukhuryurd, Nagharakhana, Talishnuru, Dadagunash, I and II Chaghan at 1100-1300 in October 18. In parallel with the candidate his authorized representative, his advocates and other members of his electoral staff took part at the meeting which was held at the cultural house of Chukhuryurd village by participation of electorates more than 200. Concert program was organised by participation of the local cultural men in the first half of two-part meeting. The electorates met with the candidate and his advocates in the second half of the meeting.
Islam Bakhshiev, candidate Suleymanov’s advocate, Director of the secondary school № 2 of Shamakhi welcomed the meeting with opening speech. Mr. Bakhshiev presented the candidate to the electorates and gave the tribune to him. In his speech, Elkhan Suleymanov initially touched upon the problems that were general for all over Shamakhi, then focused on general problems of inhabitants of the villages of Chukhuryurd, Nagharakhana, Talishnuru, Dadagunash, I and II Chaghan. The candidate drew the attention of the electorates to the fact that he had already organised a survey to know the public opinion on the most important and ultimate problems of the villages, advocates and other members of the staff had been in these villages, had have discussions on the problems and difficulties with the people: “All the information has been handed to me. I have had so long discussions with the people who know the region very well, with the members of my staff. I have worked on concrete plans and suggestions to resolve the problems and today, I am going to be happier by learning your opinions and suggestions in this sense”.
After the candidate his advocates Sheikh Abdul Mahmudbeiov, Nadir Abdullayev, Afer Afandiev, Adil Minbashiev gave speech and informed the participants about the candidate, his life, cultural works done by him, his activities in socio-political spheres and his philanthropy.
After the advocates, tribune was given to the electorates in order to know their opinions and suggestions. Electorate Maria Nikolayevna wished success to the candidate in her speech. She told that she would support candidate Elkhan Suleymanov considering him the proper candidate to resolve the problems of ancient Shamakhi, as well as their villages. She called everyone to vote for candidate Suleymanov. Finally, she stated her deepest confidence that the elections would be successful for both Shamakhi people and Elkhan Suleymanov.
In his closing statement, Mr. Islam Bakhshiev called the electorates to take an active part in the elections of November 7 and vote for the candidate that they consider the proper one.
